We have a fantastic opportunity join our exceptional Student Recruitment team as the Admissions Lead where you will play an integral part in ensuring that the Admissions and Enrolment process at the college is completed efficiently and accurately.
As the Admissions Lead you will have operational oversight of the admissions and enrolment team and have responsibility for all aspects of the customer journey from application to enrolment.
The Admissions Lead will be well versed in all compliance requirements to ensure robust data integrity, ensure the team are conversant in all funding streams and are providing high quality IAG to all customers.
Please note that interviews for this position will take place on Tuesday 20th and Wednesday 21st October.Responsibilities include:- To have specialist knowledge and responsibility for key areas of the college / the recruitment function such as:
- Immigration -VISA checking
- FE - Internal Progression, enrolment, ESFA compliance, Funding, student finance, course requirements etc. as well as AEB funding and specialist knowledge
- HE - OFS compliance, student bursaries, internal progression, enrolment, access and widening participation requirements as well as managing the UCAS cycle
- Initial teacher training - DfE requirements, Business requirements, ESFA compliance, start dates etc.
- Ensure the team have the latest information and training to provide information to enquires and applicants
- Engage with student recruitment and keep warm communications/campaigns
- Liaise with HoDs to ensure all recruitment activity: interviews, applicant days and enrolment sessions are well planned and executed in line with the Team's KPIs
- Track, input and report on recruitment targets
- Be expert in all funding streams and ensure the wider team are well trained in order to provide correct advice and guidance at all stages of the recruitment process
- Responsible for the coordination and processing of student applications across levels and subject areas is fully accurate
- Responsible for decision-making and notification of offers, including conditions for entry based on agreed criteria/entry requirements
- Responsible for verifying documentation, which could include academic qualifications and DBS checks
- Input and record all applications in line with service level agreements to deliver a responsive, supportive and customer led service
- Use College based systems (EBS) and processes to input, record and track applications
- Work to support conversion from enquiry to application to enrolment
- Administer admissions reports, correspondence and forecasts to ensure recruitment targets are monitored and achieved
- Line management of Admissions team including holiday approvals, sickness absence, disciplinaries etc.
- Manage the annual recruitment and welcome session cycle(s)
- Ensuring that changes to the curriculum offer and/or qualifications are considered at Departmental level and in Admissions
- Manage ad-hoc projects as directed by the Director of Student Recruitment
- Manage and coordinate the enrolment process for FE, HE and Initial Teacher Training

- Experience working in a student facing environment
- Experience working within busy business unit with other members of a team
- Experience of customer service
