The Opportunity

As an invigilator you will conduct examinations in accordance with the Joint Council for Qualifications (JCQ), awarding body and The Sheffield College instructions, you will play a key role in upholding the integrity of the examination/assessment process.

This is a zero‑hours contract to provide cover for – Invigilator with regular working hours to be confirmed at interview.

Main Responsibilities:

Report to and be briefed by exams staff prior to each exam session
To keep confidential exam papers and materials secure before, during and after exams
Ensure exam rooms are set out according to the instructions
To admit candidates into exam rooms

Cross-College Contributions

Participating in cross‑college projects, working groups and committees
Preparing and presenting papers as needed
Acting as a positive role model for colleagues, demonstrating the College’s FREDIE+ values (Fairness, Respect, Equality, Diversity, Inclusion & Engagement)

Student-Focused Responsibilities

Ensuring the safety and wellbeing of students through robust Safeguarding practices
Supporting key college events such as open days, enrolment and exam periods
