Work Experience Placement Officer

Salary: £26,269 – £28,053 per annum

Location: Oldham College

Contract: Full time, Permanent

Are you passionate about helping young people take their first steps into the world of work? We’re looking for a proactive and enthusiastic Work Experience Placement Officer to join our growing team at Oldham College.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong business development or employer engagement experience who enjoys building relationships, creating opportunities, and making a difference to young people’s futures.

As a Work Experience Placement Officer, you’ll play a key role in securing and coordinating work placements for our students — including T Level Industry Placements — helping them to gain valuable real-world experience and progress into apprenticeships or employment. You’ll also work closely with local employers, promoting the College’s employability offer and supporting businesses to connect with emerging talent.

We’re looking for someone who:

• Holds a minimum of NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent)

• Has experience working with young people and employers to facilitate work placements or recruitment opportunities

• Is an excellent communicator with strong organisational skills

• Can inspire students, staff and employers through creativity and enthusiasm

• Holds a full UK driving licence and access to a car
