Lecturer in Art & Design

Part-time (22.5 hours per week) | Fixed Term

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to deliver high-quality, engaging teaching across a range of Art & Design programmes.

You’ll create inspiring learning experiences that develop students’ practical, technical and creative skills, while supporting their progression into further study or employment.

What you'll be doing:

· Delivering engaging, inclusive teaching that motivates and inspires learners

· Supporting students to develop creative, technical and professional skills

· Planning and assessing work, providing high-quality feedback

· Tracking student progress and supporting achievement and progression

· Contributing to curriculum development and quality improvement

· Supporting student recruitment, enrichment activities and industry engagement

· Creating a positive, inclusive and high-expectation learning environment

About you

You’re a creative and committed educator who is passionate about student success. You will bring:

· A degree in Art & Design (or a related subject)

· Teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one)

· Experience delivering practical, studio-based teaching

· Strong knowledge of contemporary Art & Design practice

· The ability to inspire, motivate and engage learners of all abilities

· A commitment to inclusive teaching, safeguarding and student wellbeing
