The Position: We’re looking for a full time Supported Internships and Employability Lead

Are you passionate about transforming lives through employment? Do you combine strong business understanding with a commitment to inclusive practice for learners with special educational needs and disabilities? This is a unique opportunity to lead one of the College’s highly recognised Supported Internship and Employability programmes, working at the intersection of education, employment and social impact. You will play a pivotal role in securing high-quality employer partnerships, leading skilled job coaches, and ensuring our interns progress into meaningful, sustained employment.

What skills are we looking for:

A strategic thinker – with strong commercial and business awareness to develop employer partnerships and sustainable internship pathways
A people-focused leader – experienced in supporting learners with SEND, including EHCP and High Needs learners
A collaborator – confident working with employers, job coaches, curriculum teams, parents/carers and external agencies
A problem-solver – able to balance individual learner needs with employer expectations and funding requirements

Responsibilities for the role:

Champion inclusive employment, leading the Supported Internship provision and line managing the Job Coach team to deliver high-quality, learner-centred support.
Maintain and grow meaningful employer partnerships, securing high-quality internship placements that meet statutory, safeguarding, health and safety, and quality standards, and lead to positive employment outcomes.
Focus relentlessly on learner success, overseeing programme funding and using performance data (recruitment, retention, achievement and progression) to continuously improve impact and progression into sustained employment.

The Location: The site is based at Nuneaton with travel to Supported Internship placements
