Here at Bournemouth & Poole College, we are looking to recruit a Lecturer in ESOL on a part time, permanent basis. In return, you will receive a competitive salary of £33,151 to £40,374 per annum. (£24,863 - £30,280 pro rata per annum FTE - depending on experience).

The Lecturer in ESOL Role:

The purpose of this post is to deliver high quality and effective teaching and learning (In English as a Second language) to both 16-19, Full Time Youth as well as adult learners.

Key Responsibilities of the Lecturer in ESOL:

Contribute to the development and delivery of ESOL to both Full Time Youth learners and adult learners of different levels
Contribute to high quality learning experiences using a variety of teaching and learning methods
Manage student issues within agreed protocols
Completion of College administrative tasks related to assessments, enrolments, tutorials, exam registration and Behavioural Review Meetings
The application of all aspects of The College’s quality processes
Provide academic and pastoral support to students in accordance with agreed procedures
Ensure that teaching is based on current best available practice and is consistent with a high standard of practice
Teach or cover lessons when required, which does include evenings
Undertake such other reasonable duties as the line manager may require from time to time

About You:

Level 2 (or equivalent) English and Maths Teaching Qualification or willingness to achieve within 2 years
CELTA or DELTA qualifications
Teaching experience in an FE setting ie college or school
Competent in Microsoft Office applications
Attendance at college events ie open evenings including outside of normal working hours
