About
Strategic and transformational Further Education leader with over 25 years of experience across Further Education, Higher Education, Apprenticeships, Adult Learning and Technical Education. Proven track record of leading curriculum innovation, quality improvement, safeguarding, organisational transformation and teaching, learning and assessment across multidisciplinary educational environments.
Experienced in senior leadership roles including Head of Education, Curriculum Leader, Quality Improvement Leader and Programme Director, with responsibility for curriculum strategy, staff development, quality assurance, inspection readiness, budget management and learner success. Successfully led initiatives that improved learner retention, achievement and progression, while strengthening compliance with Ofsted, ESFA, awarding body and safeguarding requirements.
A qualified lawyer (LLM), qualified teacher (PGCE, QTLS), Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA), Internal Quality Assurer (IQA), Assessor (TAQA) and member of the British Computer Society (MBCS), bringing a unique combination of educational leadership, governance, legal expertise and quality assurance capability.
Extensive experience leading and delivering programmes from Levels 1–7 across Engineering, Computing, Business, Law, Criminology, Public Services, Travel & Tourism and Higher Education. Recognised for developing high-performing teams, driving continuous improvement, implementing digital learning strategies and creating inclusive learning environments that maximise learner achievement and organisational performance.
Currently undertaking doctoral research in Law, with specialist interests in governance, institutional accountability, equality, human rights and educational leadership.
