About
I am a PhD researcher in English Literature at the University of Cumbria, specialising in Romanticism, gender, and mobility studies. Alongside my research, I have developed a strong record of teaching English Language and Literature across secondary, further, and higher education settings. My work bridges academic research, public engagement, and creative pedagogy — from leading literature workshops in heritage institutions to designing research-led courses for The Brilliant Club.
I am passionate about helping students of all backgrounds build confidence and find their voice in English, whether through critical reading, writing, or creative exploration. My academic writing has been published in The Conversation UK, and my teaching practice is informed by training in TEFL, TEYL, and higher education pedagogy. I am seeking opportunities in teaching, tutoring, or curriculum design within further or higher education, where I can combine my research expertise with inclusive, student-centred learning.
