About

I am a qualified teacher with QTS and extensive experience working in secondary, primary and post-16 education in the UK. I currently specialise in Functional Skills English and Maths from Entry Level 1 to Level 2, EAL and supporting learners with SEND or interrupted education.

In my most recent role, I taught 16–19-year-old refugees and asylum seekers within a sixth-form provision. I planned and delivered differentiated English and Maths lessons, prepared learners for Pearson and Edexcel assessments, monitored progress and provided pastoral and safeguarding support. I am experienced in working with learners who may have low literacy, limited English, additional needs, low confidence or previous barriers to education.

My key strengths include building positive relationships, creating calm and inclusive learning environments, adapting resources for different abilities and helping learners develop confidence, independence and employability skills. I use visual resources, scaffolding, practical activities, model answers and individual targets to support progress.

I also have extensive experience teaching Spanish across primary and secondary education, alongside general teaching, SEND support and supply work. I am confident delivering classroom-based, online and blended learning and am comfortable using digital platforms to create accessible and engaging resources.

I am particularly interested in opportunities within further education, Functional Skills, ESOL, EAL, SEND, employability and learner support. I am flexible, reliable and committed to helping young people and adults overcome barriers and achieve positive outcomes.
