I am a high-quality honour’s graduate and experienced professional with an in-depth knowledge of the current FE landscape, both strategically and from an operational perspective.
Fifteen years’ senior management experience in an FE environment. Over twenty-five years’ successful work history in further education, both in public and private sector. Respected strategic and operational consultant to the senior management teams of colleges and private training providers across the country. Strong relationship builder, business developer and income generator with an in-depth knowledge of Mayoral Strategic Authorities and DfE policies and strategies.
Academic training included detailed study of Research Methods, Housing Policy, British and European Government, Management Structures, Economics, Health Policy, Leisure Studies, Education Policy, Local Government Structures and Contemporary Political Ideas.
I have also recently completed the ‘Senior Leadership Development Programme’ as part of my CDP with the Association of Colleges, which gives an insight in to how a senior leader within a college operates.
Having recently left my role at the Association of Colleges, I have a lot to offer the FE sector and Colleges. Having worked alongside senior teams Colleges over the last 6 years, my understanding of the current FE environment and landscape could be invaluable to the College, when looking at policy development and strategies, which the current government and Mayoral Combined Authority are looking to implement. I also possess access to a significant network of people and organisations across the sector who could assist the College in the future.
