West Herts College Group • Part-time • Watford, Hertfordshire, England, United Kingdom • £33.91 - £36.63 / hour • 20h ago

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the School of Science and Public Services. We are looking for an Hourly Paid Lecturer in Public Services who is enthusiastic about making a difference to the lives and careers of our learners.

The successful candidate must be confident that they can contribute to and improve our team. This role is perfectly suited to someone with experience in Public Services.

Whilst teaching experience is desirable, we are keen to hear from people with a high level of industry knowledge and career experience that they can impart to others. Full teacher training will be provided to the successful candidate.

You will join a vibrant and high-performing team, working in our well-equipped facilities, teaching across a range of public services curriculum programmes. You will be teaching for approximately 15 hours a week at our Watford Campus with the opportunity to teach across Public Services and Criminology Levels 1-3.

The team and our learners already benefit from excellent links with local employers, but any opportunity to further these links is always welcomed.

You will have an ability to promote, support and embed English and Maths skills within planning and delivery of all teaching.

The successful candidate will work 22 hours per week at our Watford Campus. The closing date for applications is Monday 9th November 2026. The successful candidate will start from January 2027.

You will have the full support of a dynamic team and opportunities to bring your ideas to the role. Training and development are at the heart of everything we do so you will be actively encouraged to upskill.

We have a free on-site gym at our Watford Campus, and you can access a wide range of discounts and benefits including a cycle to work scheme, free on-site parking, pension, generous holiday scheme, time off at Christmas and early finishes on a Friday.
