Actual Salary: Up to £13,617.60
Contract Type: Part Time, Fixed Term until 31st July 2027
Working Hours: 14.8 hours per week

We have an exciting role of a Lecturer in Commercial Dance within our BIPA department at our WISE Campus!
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
· Plan and deliver high-quality practical and academic teaching across the Higher Education Commercial Dance programme.
· Support students to develop their technical, creative, performance and professional skills.
· Assess student work and provide timely, constructive and developmental feedback.
· Contribute to curriculum planning, development and quality assurance within the Commercial Dance provision.
· Use current industry practice and professional experience to ensure teaching remains relevant to the contemporary dance and performance industries.
· Contribute to a positive, inclusive and supportive learning environment that promotes student achievement, progression and employability.
Beneficial Skills & Qualifications
· Relevant degree or professional qualification/experience in Dance, Performing Arts or a related discipline.
· Significant professional experience within commercial dance and/or the wider performance industry.
· Experience of teaching, training or mentoring dancers and performers, ideally within a Higher Education or professional training environment.
· Strong knowledge of contemporary commercial dance practice and current industry expectations.
· Ability to plan and deliver engaging, inclusive and appropriately challenging practical dance sessions.
· Strong assessment, communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to supporting students to achieve their potential.
