We are looking to appoint an ambitious, experienced, and forward-thinking Welding Assessor to join our Engineering department and lead the development of a high-profile apprenticeship curriculum area.

We are seeking a motivated and suitably qualified individual to join our dynamic Apprenticeship team, responsible for assessing our Welding Apprentices.
The successful candidate will demonstrate strong industry expertise in welding, alongside the ability to engage, encourage, and inspire learners. You will bring energy, enthusiasm, and professionalism, supporting apprentices to succeed through high-quality assessment and guidance.
Working closely with employers, you will support the full apprenticeship journey, including recruitment, training, and assessment through End Point Assessment. You will also build strong employer relationships, ensure an excellent customer experience, and maintain our reputation as a provider of choice.
Key responsibilities include delivering underpinning knowledge, carrying out workplace assessments, and supporting apprentices to meet all assessment requirements both in the workplace and on campus. This role involves working with individuals and groups across college sites and employer locations.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
• Relevant and demonstrable industry experience in welding
• A minimum Level 3 qualification in a related discipline
• An Assessor qualification, or a willingness to achieve this within an agreed timeframe
• Use of a digital portfolio
