We are seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Mental Health professional to join our Adult and Community Learning team as a Sessional Online Trainer/Assessor. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing and supporting learners undertaking online Mental Health qualifications, ensuring high standards of learner achievement and progression.
This is a flexible role that can fit around existing professional commitments and may include evenings and weekends.

2.1 Main Duties and Responsibilities
a) To plan, develop and deliver courses for groups of adult learners in college and community venues.
b) To design, develop and monitor resources for learner use.
c) To assess learner work for online Mental Health qualifications in accordance with awarding organisation requirements and agreed assessment strategies.
d) To provide timely, constructive and developmental written feedback through the College's online learning platform.
e) To monitor learner progress and achievement, ensuring assessment and feedback are completed within agreed timescales.
f) To respond to learner queries promptly and professionally, providing academic guidance and support to facilitate successful completion of qualifications.
g) To identify learners who may require additional support and refer them to appropriate services where necessary.
h) To maintain accurate and up-to-date learner records, assessment decisions and documentation in accordance with College and awarding organisation requirements.
i) To participate in standardisation activities and quality assurance processes to ensure consistency and reliability of assessment decisions.
j) To respond appropriately and within required timescales to Internal Quality Assurer (IQA) and External Quality Assurer (EQA) feedback, recommendations and action points.
k) To comply with College quality procedures, policies and standards, contributing to continuous quality improvement activities.
l) To maintain current knowledge of Mental Health practice, qualification specifications, assessment requirements and relevant legislation.
m) To attend training, standardisation meetings, team meetings and continuing professional development activities as required.
n) To contribute to the development and improvement of learning and assessment resources where appropriate.
o) To undertake any additional duties commensurate with the role as reasonably requested by management.
