The Position: We’re looking for a Marketing and Events Officer (up to 12-months FTC – Maternity Cover)
We are seeking a proactive Marketing and Events Officer to take the lead on the planning and delivering a range of annual college events including VIP events and student recruitment events. This role involves working with key departments to understand requirements, and the individual will need to deliver events on time, to a high standard and within budget. Occasionally you will work directly with the Executive and Senior Leadership Team.
What skills are we looking for:
- Strong and proven marketing and communication skills
- Experience in marketing and events and/or education setting
- Proven ability to plan, manage and deliver a number of annual events
- Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills
- Highly organised with ability to manage multiple events and projects
- Experience in using tools such as Eventbrite, Excel, Teams and Zoom to liaise with internal and external support services to ensure events run smoothly.
Responsibilities for the role:
- Plan and deliver annual college events
- Plan and deliver engaging and effective campaigns for student recruitment
- Work closely with college departments to deliver successful open events and taster days
- Support delivery of virtual events.
- Organise, deliver and evaluate internal and external events and activities designed to raise awareness of the college and maximise student recruitment.
- Hold regular project management meetings with key stakeholders and provide status updates on a regular basis.
