About the role
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and supportive Library Support Centre Assistant to support our learners in our library.
The successful candidate will supervise the day-to-day running of the computerised library system for books, resources and IT equipment.
Duties will include:
- Supporting learners with day-to-day learning and study support
- Undertake general library, information and learner support duties
- Provide administrative support to the College as required
About the person
The successful candidate will have:
- A good level of IT skills and knowledge
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Educated to Level 2/GCSE English and Maths is an essential qualification to have for this role
- A Level 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning and/or Level 3 or above in vocational subject/subjects would be desirable
We welcome applications from interested candidates that may have been in education or library services previously, although this is not essential.
