We are now looking to recruit 4 fixed term 1st Line Desktop Support Assistants to join our team over the summer months.
The Role
As a 1st Line Desktop Support Assistant, you will assist our team in installing the IT elements required for our new building at our Bournemouth Campus and completing the general IT maintenance tasks across all 3 campuses before the next academic year.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, service, and repair IT and presentation systems
- Ensure IT systems are maintained in line with best practice and health & safety regulations
- Respond to enquiries professionally and efficiently
- Support the IT Helpdesk with technical and operational queries
- Maintain accurate records and attend team briefings
About You
You will ideally have:
- 4 GCSEs (including Maths and English) or equivalent
- Experience using IT within an educational setting
- A passion for IT and technology
- Basic knowledge of IT hardware and software
- Familiarity with modern Windows operating systems
- Competency in Microsoft Office applications
You should also be:
- Flexible and willing to work evenings, weekends, and at college events
- Able to respond to occasional out-of-hours emergencies
- Willing to work across multiple College sites
