About the role
Reaseheath College is seeking a number of enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching and Learning (TLA) Leads to join our Teaching & Learning team. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a refreshed, forward-looking team during a period of growth and renewed focus, offering the chance to shape our approach to Quality Improvement and deliver a measurable, early impact across the college.
Working closely with the Head of Teaching, Learning & Innovation and Curriculum Area Managers, you will take a lead role in driving forward teaching and learning standards across departments. You’ll work in partnership with teachers - both in and out of the classroom - through coaching, mentoring, team teaching, and the delivery of high-impact professional development sessions.
As a TLA Lead, you’ll help embed a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement. You’ll champion effective teaching practices, support the use of digital tools, and contribute to the development of an outstanding staff development offer aligned with the college’s strategic priorities.
Key responsibilities:
- Model and share outstanding teaching, learning, and assessment practices.
- Provide mentoring, coaching, and team teaching to support teachers at all stages of their development.
- Design and deliver impactful CPD and lead on the Teacher Induction Programme.
- Champion digital tools and platforms to enhance teaching and learning.
- Collaborate with curriculum teams to improve learner outcomes through tailored support.
- Lead and promote peer learning and informal CPD activities across departments.
The successful candidate will:
- A recognised teaching qualification.
- Recent relevant experience delivering high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment.
- Experience in coaching, mentoring, and supporting teacher development.
- Knowledge of digital learning tools and a commitment to innovative teaching.
- Excellent interpersonal, organisational, and communication skills.
- An understanding of quality assurance and continuous improvement in education.
- A collaborative mindset with a passion for making a difference.
