About the role

We are looking for an exceptional and driven Head of Marketing to join Reaseheath College on an interim basis - someone who can inspire a talented team and make a real impact.

This critical leadership role will be instrumental in enhancing the College’s profile, promoting our academic and vocational offerings, and supporting student recruitment across local, regional, and national audiences.

The successful candidate will provide strategic oversight and direction to a skilled marketing team, ensuring the effective delivery of comprehensive, data-driven marketing campaigns. You will take responsibility for the College’s full marketing lifecycle, including brand management, communications, events, and digital outreach, ensuring alignment with institutional goals and values.

A key priority will be to strengthen the visibility and reputation of Reaseheath College and University Centre Reaseheath, supporting sustained growth in student applications and enrolment. Additionally, you will lead the development of innovative strategies to expand our marketing channels and support commercial initiatives aimed at increasing community engagement and revenue generation.

Key responsibilities:

Lead and implement the Marketing, Recruitment and Communications strategy.
Manage and lead the Marketing department providing operational line management and driving high performance.
Act as the brand guardian for Reaseheath College and the University Centre Reaseheath.
Establish and position the college competitively as the provider of choice for local students and nationally for land-based students.
Provide the Principal and Executive Team with regular updates on the performance of the marketing department.

The successful candidate will:

Educated to Degree level (level 5) qualification in a Marketing related subject and /or professional marketing qualifications (e.g. CIM qualifications).
Significant experience of successfully developing and implementing marketing/communication strategies.
Substantial experience within the marketing/communications industry.
Up to date knowledge of marketing and communications best practice.
Experience of working in a College or University setting would be desirable but not essential.

Please note this role constitutes ‘regulated activity’ as defined by the Protection of Freedom Act 2012. The successful candidate will therefore be required to undertake an enhanced DBS check with barred list information prior to starting employment. You must also have the right to work in the UK and will be required to provide evidence to support this. In addition, online checks will be carried out during the recruitment process.
